Hagerman Valley Inn

After spending several weeks on the West Coast, my roommate and I decided it was finally time to head back home. We wanted to take a different route than the one we took on the way out, so this time, our first stop was Idaho. On our first day, we drove about seven hours before arriving in Hagerman, Idaho. We stopped at the Hagerman Valley Inn, who so graciously hosted us for the night, and honestly, the stay exceeded our expectations.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing night after a long day of driving, including a TV, microwave, and mini fridge. But one of our favorite parts of the property was the outdoor space. They have both an upstairs and downstairs patio decorated with string lights, along with fire pit tables, cornhole, and even a hot tub. It was such a cozy place to unwind and hang out after being on the road all day. We arrived around 6 p.m., got settled in, and then quickly headed back out for our next adventure.

Blue Heart Springs

 We made our way over to Banbury Adventures, where we rented a kayak and headed toward Blue Heart Springs. Since we arrived later in the evening, the team at Banbury Adventures was incredibly accommodating. They didn't want us kayaking back in the dark, so they helped us make the most of the time we had. We paddled toward Blue Heart Springs, where we got to swim, explore, and take in the beautiful scenery. Once it started getting late, the camp hosts came out to pick us up by boat so we didn't have to paddle all the way back in the dark. It ended up being the perfect way to finish our first day road tripping back home.

We truly could not recommend this stay enough! Everyone we met in the area was so kind and welcoming, there is so much to see and do, and Hagerman Valley Inn is such a cozy spot to come back to after a day of exploring. Whether you’re traveling solo, with friends, or with family and kids, there’s something for everyone here. We would definitely make a stop in Hagerman again!
